About The Artwork
I came across these poppies on a piece of waste land near home whilst walking the dog. The pink and white flowers are clearly crosses of cultivated flowers, the red wild flower in the background and the differing stages of flower buds. The flowers really sing out in the sun, the papery consistency can clearly be seen. It evokes memories of summer in flower meadows, despite the likely garden escapees.

I love East Anglia, it's wild flowers and coast, and also have a love for the Northumberland coast too. I live on a big village common where most of my flower images are taken.
