Public intimacy is part of "Transition", a photographic series developed in nursing homes throughout South America. This single image empty of horror vacui and colour, but full of intimacy, summarises and shows us the raw side of detachment, a portrait of those intimate moments lived in a community and at the same time confronts us with the paradigm shift that happens around us whilst the screens distract us. The everyday clothing, the burnout of every day, the wear and tear of the private life of a couple that is outside the frame. A simple life. These hanging fabrics crudely represent the simplicity of a lifestyle that lacks the ability to surprise us and make us reflect on what we have become: spectators of the intimacy of others, but fake intimacies, the maelstrom of being spectacular, the fabricated reality.
