I took this image while waiting to meet a friend for coffee on the corner of 34th St and Seventh Avenue. Just before the morning rush hour, I noticed this man clearing a puddle reflecting the mighty Empire State Building. Just as he was about to remove the puddle, I managed to snap this timeless moment that would have disappeared instantly. New York rain can be a memorable experience. Rainfall is common in New York City throughout the year, but it is particularly prevalent in the spring and summer months.
