ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I was in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, when I took this photograph. It refers to a detail of the façade of an important cultural space of the city. Observing the building, I found this angle interesting and soon imagined that it could become an abstract art, since, in this photograph, the observer cannot identify the context to which it belongs. I imagine that architecture lovers will be very interested in this image.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
