Eleni Nikologlou was born in Athens. Her involvement in the visual arts started from a young age and was a key factor in shaping her personality and a way of internal dialogue and soul searching. As an artist she is involved in photography, illustration, painting, sculpture and the creation of functional prototype marionettes, using a variety of mixed techniques. After graduating in Philosophy and subsequently earning a second degree in Psychology, she developed a particular interest in photography. She found her voice through her apprenticeship with the renowned Greek photographer Mr.Platon Rivellis, helping her fine tune her expression via her art. This creative acquaintance with the world of photography functioned as a catalyst in determining her professional direction and shaping her artistic identity as a fine art photographer. Influenced by a lifelong interest in art that surpasses reality and the obvious, she leans towards the transformation of usual and insignificant subjects, into evocative and revealing images via her subjective artistic vision. Eleni says: "I want the image to engage the viewer and provide them with associations, ideas, dreams and memories. Furthermore, a title serves as a guide, but it is just that, a guide. The interpretation should first be done by the viewer... It should be an individual internal journey..."
