This photograph was captured at Auschwitz Concentration Camp, Poland. I was standing at the far end of the infamous railway looking towards the gatehouse, and wanted to capture a solemn shot of the place. I hope viewers can imagine themselves on that train in the horrible conditions travelling down this railway to their unknown fate. I hope viewers feel what I felt when standing on that railway line. A monochromatic photograph to match the atmosphere of the place. Honorable Mention 2016 in International Photography Awards (IPA, Lucie awards) 'Road to Nowhere' in 'Travel & Tourism' category 10% of profits donated to Auschwitz museum

United Kingdom
Its always difficult writing about yourself, however, I am a British photographer with a passion of one day owning a gallery that will highlight everything beautiful and ugly about humanity. Not every thing in life is pretty, life is raw at times and my work will hopefully reflect that. Some photographers specialize in a specific genre, I don't ever put all my eggs in one basket, there is so much in the world to capture, that i find it difficult to only focus on one aspect. Though what i will say, is i do like my photographs to tell a story, or engage the observer in some way. I do have a passion for black and white photography, there is something about these two tones that are magical in creating a dramatic photo. I regularly set myself small projects based on a particular theme, I have recently uploaded my Auschwitz & Birkenau gallery and now working on big landscape shots. Aside from photography, I also participate in Tao Te Kung Fu as i believe it is very important to keep your mind and body in good shape. The better my mind, the better my photography. Honorable mention at the International Photography Awards (IPA) 2016 for 'Road to Nowhere' in 'Travel & Tourism' category
