This series of photographs was originated from 4x5, 120, 35 mm transparency films.

The original transparencies are images of still life and portraits. The photographs were soaked in water of the Hudson River; a result of a flood caused in 2012 by Hurricane Sandy.

We chose to keep the original transparencies in the flood water for two years. In 2014 we took out the transparencies, scanned the original film to high-res digital files.

The water penetrated into the thin layers of the emulsion caused the colors to dissolve and to separate. Molds fermented on the surface and tiny salt crystals emerged.

All editions are numbered and signed. The artwork Printing and framing is on demand.
