Dimitri Bogachuk spending years to find such minimalistic landscapes around the world looking for specific light and form of landscape MEDIUM: Photograph printed on high quality archival museum paper (at least 150 years warranty of no fading) This paper is very bright will show all tones of this natural light Inspired by different kind of modernism artists Dimitri created specific style of photography in which he works with the territory that with the territory of universal memories that belong to everyone and no one. The silence Dimitri Bogachuk is able to capture in his works can be actually heard. Auroral stillness of the sea or winter landscape in his photographs seems like an episode of a forgotten past or a dream. The main character if his works is the space. Soft pastel spectrum fills his photographs with air, making them nearly weightless Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for details This image from Le Plat Pays Series This photographic series of seascapes created during the 2012-2018 period. The project reflects an idea about photography universalism. Any person, who sees picture, regardless of nationality, gets a feeling of looking at the seascape familiar since childhood. This reverent feeling of the magnetic sea view, coming from the common to all mankind past. Recreating the kind of archetype, universal and close to all, akin to nostalgia or «déjà vu». Remembering the impression when you saw the sea for the first time. The main sense of this series is to create a very personal and at the same time universal feelings of sea landscape beholding. The album title in French sounds as «Le Plat Pays». Translated, it means «Land of the Plains». These words from Jacques Brel`s song. The spirit and meaning of Brel`s composition are very close to the general mood of the album and very subtly, poetically reflects the feelings with which I have created my series. Sea is the eternal theme, to which everyone always wants to come back. The most of the pictures were created in the off-season when the sea gets its own special appearance. The horizon line symbolizes both the end point to where a person is able to come and the start of a new path. The line crossing the real image and the feeling of a dream is almost imperceptible like a scene out of the common past.
