Seduction of colours Photograph

I was born in Malta in 1975. I studied Fine Arts at the Accademia delle Belle Arti in Perugia (Italy) and have exhibited several times in Malta and around Europe. My approach to art is quite versatile and painting is just one medium in my repertoire of artistic creations. Sculpture, printmaking, photography, installations and video are other valid means that give shape to my thoughts and emotions. My work tries to reveal the complex nature of the human being as well as the primordial link between mankind and the natural environment. Being a native of a very small island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea explains my interest in expressing symbolically the spatial and physical constraints of living in confined spaces. Surpassing boundaries and looking beyond the horizon are also common themes recurrent in my works. I exhibited several times in different countries like Italy, England, France and Malta.
