Photography: Color, Digital on Paper.
This is the second, much enlarged version of an interesting and unusual image which has undergone digital cyanotype treatment. These are the shadows of a spiral staircase with a sculpture suspended in the centre of it, both created by the famous, multi-talented artist and architect, César Manrique, at the Jardín de Cactus in Guatiza, Lanzarote, one of the larger islands in the Canary Archipelago.
For the first time, this image is being offered for sale to collectors and lovers of beautiful photographs as a limited edition, number 1/6.
This image was taken with a Canon full-frame digital camera. Under the supervision of the photographer, it is being printed by London fine art printers, Bayeux Ltd, using Hahnemühle archival Photo Rag Bright White 310gsm paper and utilising Epson printing technology and the associated K3 pigment inks. The prints have extraordinary density, with good contrast and fine detail. Each image is printed on an oversized sheet with white borders. The surface of these prints is delicate, so it is recommended that they should be mounted behind glass, ideally using non-reflecting, gallery glass.
Numbered limited edition; signed, dated and titled on the back.
