Mauro Negro is born in Venice in 1952, studied Art at DAMS in Bologna. He began his carrier as a scientific photographer at the Padua University documenting scientific surgery. After studying with Ernst Haas he changed his approach to photography and published his first book on the Carnival of Venice. Magazine " Photo " publishes an extensive article on this work. The Museum of Modern Art (MASP) in San Paulo, Brazil, has dedicated a solo exhibition to his work in 1982. In the following years the exhibit travelled in many Latin American cities and in Europe. From 1982 until today he works for some of the most important Italian and foreign companies creating fashion and interiors advertising campaigns.
