Art Description

Photography: Black & White, Digital on Paper.

This most interesting and unusual image is of the shadows created by a spiral staircase with a sculpture suspended in the centre of it, both created by the famous, multi-talented artist and architect, César Manrique, at the Jardín de Cactus in Guatiza, Lanzarote, one of the larger islands in the Canary Archipelago.

For the first time, this image is being offered for sale to collectors and lovers of beautiful photographs as a limited edition, number 1/10.

This image was taken with a Canon full-frame digital camera. The prints are being created by the photographer himself, using Epson’s ultra-smooth, Hot Press Bright cotton rag archival 330gsm paper and utilising Epson printing technology and the associated K3 pigment inks. The prints have an extraordinary density of blacks, with good contrast, and hold even the finest detail. Each image is printed on an A2 sheet with white borders. The surface of these prints is delicate, so it is recommended that they should be mounted behind glass - they look superb in a ‘floating frame’, using non-reflecting, gallery glass.

Milan Svanderlik is a DIGI-Graphie Artist

Each print is signed, numbered, dated, and titled on the back, and is certified on the white border with the artist’s DigiGraphie embossing stamp.
