Concrete Visions is a captivating art collection that delves into the mesmerizing world of high-contrast black and white street photography, focusing on the interplay between concrete structures, geometric shapes, silhouettes, and shadows. This collection of photographs invites viewers to see the urban environment from a fresh perspective, emphasizing the beauty and drama found in the stark contrasts of light and dark. During a peaceful lunch break in my office, I decided to capture the moment with my camera. As I stepped into the office kitchen, I grabbed my camera, eager to explore the cityscape outside. The CBC building in Toronto stood before me, an architectural masterpiece designed by the renowned Philip Johnson, exuding his unique touch. From my vantage point, I could feel the grandeur of his architectural approach. Outside, the bustling city was adorned with people, moving like industrious ants, each carrying their delightful umbrellas to shield themselves from the gentle rain. The scene was a symphony of urban life, where art and humanity intertwined, and in that serene moment, I found a perfect snapshot of a city thriving with beauty and activity. Ismayil Atmaca is a Toronto-based visual artist originally from Edirne, Turkiye. Self-taught and highly experimental, Atmaca specializes in natural light photography, working predominantly in black and white, monochrome, and color photography. His work, heavily influenced by his first camera from Germany, often explores the drama and emotion of urban environments through high-contrast imagery, geometric shapes, and abstract compositions. Atmaca's notable series, such as "Concrete Visions" and "The Glitch Series," challenge traditional norms by merging surrealism with urban photography. As a Visual Artist, The Glitch Project merges technology, nature, and art to prompt reflection on reality. Combining wooden columns with digital imagery, including my own photos, offers a modern take on traditional art. It aims to intrigue viewers, urging them to contemplate the convergence of natural and digital domains. Through high-quality printing and a sophisticated frame, the artwork endures and invites personal interpretation
