About The Artwork

"Succulents in Cirques" is a photograph I chose to develop using a procedure called Cyanotype that was developed in 1842 that was primarily used to produce copies of drawings or blueprints. This process is done by coating watercolor paper with chemicals to make it light sensitive thereby allowing me to develop a negative with the use of the sun to make a positive image. After a few minutes, I wash the paper and it turns a Prussian Blue or Cyan Blue as it's known. In developing this photograph, I also used a large laser cut metal template to make the circles for an added abstract look. This photograph was taken in Morro Bay, California. Details: Canson 140lb watercolor paper

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I'm starting the second act of my life through the lens of my camera and an interest in the alternative photography processes from cyanotype, a historic process from 1842 where photography is developed in a cyan blue tone, digital intentional camera movement, where photographs look like abstract paintings, glitch, deconstructing photography, and digital manipulation of my work adding unique color hues giving an other worldly look to landscapes. I have a photography love of botanical, landscapes and items with lots of contrast and imperfections which makes for beautiful photographs. I love that after raising my two daughters, being known as mom, employee, wife, and care giver, that I am now a photographer and an artist.
