Tertiary (Pink), Framed - Limited Edition 2 of 5 Photograph

The central pink square is a 4x5 inch piece of color photographic paper made for darkroom processing that has been left exposed to the light in my studio and unfixed. The resulting lumen print serves as an atmospheric swatch of the site of its creation. I re-photographed this lumen print in multiple light situations and collaged an image from this shoot with the original print, which was continually changing in tone from ongoing light exposure. The final image is a scanned capture of the original object atop its photographic representation as a print, embedding generations of time in its recorded tonal ranges. The work will be shipped exhibition ready (ie: Archival inkjet print mounted to an aluminum composite and framed in a wooden white frame).
