ABOUT THE ARTWORK
the artworks of the tessellation series explores the meaning of two terms, micro and macro, and embodies a constant state of negotiation between the two. to examine this relationship we set set ourselves strict formal boundaries, working with the smallest logical unit, elements of the same size. we searched for a maximum of expression, composing the elements with slightly differing colors. the photography is both complex and schematic, allowing us to achieve expressiveness within a strict formal structure. The Artwork is printed on Canson Photographique 310 Fine Art Paper (310g/m², 100% Cotton, acid-free, museum quality). //note: there seems to be some compression going on while uploading the pictures, causing minor JPG compression errors. these are not meant to be and are not visible in the Original image! we try to solve this problem as soon as possible. //
