About The Artwork

It Took Me Six Weeks To Find This Guy, And The Driving Conditions Were Not Easy. At One Point, I Found Mysefl On A Tricky Dirt-Track Without Water, And After A Difficult Day Of Hard Driving, A Signpost Appeared. It Said Something Like - “Congratulations - You Have Completed The Worlds Most Difficult Off-Road Driving Challenge”. The Kalahari Was As Beautiful As Most Deserts, And Also Full Of Crime. The Bushman King Was Eventually Found In Unexpected Circumstances. He Had Been Booted Off His Land by The South African Government, And Was Living Un-naturally, Beside A Steel Fence … Keeping Him, And His Clan, Outside The Tourist Area (Basically, The Entire Kalahari Desert). The King Was Both Hungry And Thirsty, And This Explorer Cooked Him Spaghetti For Dinner. Notes. In 2009 Another African Adventure Was Attempted. The Trip Ended Abruptly Due To A Machete Attack In Mozambique Leaving My Hand With Nerve Damage, And The Vehicle In Poor Shape. Limited Edition: 11
