About The Artwork

From A series of images on great American post war iconic machines. The Constellation also known as the "Connie" was the last and greatest of all prop airplanes. It was the new standard of luxurious air travel. Built in the late 50's it was soon a forgotten plane with the advent of the DC-8`jet . These images are meant to convey the stark strength nobility and and future dream of aviation . Titled "The Last Connie " these three planes are the last Connie's owned privately. I shot these images with Tri X film to show off the texture of the large metallic shapes. Influenced by Link who photographed the last steam locomotives this was my version showing the beauty of and strength of great machinery. Printed on a heavyweight Hahnemuhle matt museum quality archival paper . A surround border of 1.5-2.oo" allows for framing . Signed and dated by the artist the print comes with a certificate of authenticity. Other print sizes available upon request

I learned the art of observation from my Grandfather and my Mother .My grandfather an avid photographer my mother an artist I discovered the world in a different way than most young people . My Parents both in education, Art and Political Science, introduced me to various societies at a young age. My Grandfather showed me how to see light, how to use light and shadow, framing the image that portrays your viewpoint and the knowledge of how composition and light can turn mundane into something unique.
