About The Artwork
In The Spiral of Memory, one witnesses whirlpools. Their inward spiral movement announces change and signifies flux, unrest, chaos and disturbance. Photos with images of people tumble around in the whirlpool covered with an infinite, dotted pattern of flower seeds, which when blown up into a larger size, obtain an almost abstract structure. The method of portraying photos within photos has the effect of memories in multiplied form.
