The Valley of Rocks is a dry valley on the northern coast of Devon in south west England. The particular character of this landscape dates from the Devonian geologic period of the Paleozoic, spanning 60 million years from the end of the Silurian, 419.2 million years ago, to the beginning of the Carboniferous, 358.9 million years ago, and named after the English county where rocks from this period were first studied. The periglacial features of the valley were formed when the area was at the limit of glaciation during the last Ice Age. The poet Robert Southey, visiting in 1799, described The Valley of Rocks as "covered with huge stones … the very bones and skeletons of the earth; rock reeling upon rock, stone piled upon stone, a huge terrific mass". The novel Lorna Doone, published by R. D. Blackmore in 1869, was partly set in the valley. Also offered in a smaller print size limited edition. Total number of edition 8. 24” x 16” / 61cm x 41cm (w x h). Please ask for currently available edition number and print price.

I was born on a Tuesday at 10.40am in San Juan de Dios Hospital in Manila, the capital of The Philippines. As the old nursery rhyme goes, 'Tuesday's child is full of grace' - others can be the judge of that, but I do know that my love for travel began here. In 1977, I started freelancing as a photographer for publications in the UK and internationally and have become known for my environmental portraiture, interiors, architectural, travel and documentary photography. My work has been published in a number of magazines including: Conde Nast Traveler (US), Conde Nast Traveller (UK), Departures, Discover, Forbes, Fortune, GQ, Guardian Weekend, Harpers & Queen, House and Garden, Image, The Independent, The Independent on Sunday Review, Newsweek, Oxygen, Saga, The Observer, The Sunday Times, The Telegraph, Vanity Fair, Vogue, W, The Weekend Financial Times, The World of Interiors. For my gallery photography, I make limited edition single, diptych, triptych and multiple images, in colour and black and white.
