Brian DeWolf, Photographer “The more carefully we look, the more there is to see.” My trademark photographs are serene, moody, and reflective in a black and white style that hints nostalgia. I also produce color images and some “painterly” images. I do my own printing, sign each print, and spray them with a lacquer fixative. I want to be responsible for the image from inception to final print. I’m a former member of Professional Photographers of America whose work has received merit awards in every annual international competition entered. “Foggy Morning Ride” was accepted into the prestigious Loan Collection in 2002. I was a Bronze Level Photographer of the Year in 2008. 80 images selected for display during a fund raising "A Toast To The 14th Congressional District" in 2006. The late White House Press Secretary, Tony Snow, was the guest speaker. In 2007, I was invited to photograph Croissy-sur-Seine, France and nearby villages. This area is the birthplace of French Impressionist Art (Monet, Renoir, Pissarro, Sisley, et. al.) It resulted in a 2009 solo exhibit in France that was attended by a member of the French Parliament, a French Senator, three local mayors, and the family of a former French Ambassador. My images hang in many countries around the world. A camera creates an historical document. I’m motivated to artistically document places and things. I also hope the viewer sees the image as a scene where he or she would like to be. More information about DeWolf and his photographs are on his web site. www.BrianDeWolf.com
