ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I took this photograph when I was in São Thomé das Letras, Minas Gerais, Brazil. From the top of a mountain, while waiting for the sun to set, I started to observe the nature around me and I was inspired to make this photograph. This place has different trees, with very contorted branches, and I thought that deserved to be recorded. Many people like nature-themed images and here's a good suggestion.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
