I was at a lookout point, high on a cliff, contemplating Grumari Beach in Rio de Janeiro, and the beauty of the sea, with strong waves breaking in the sand, inspired me to make this photograph. I believe that lovers of nature and especially of the beaches, will want to have such an image at home.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
