In 2009 Istiklal was one of the most famous streets in Istanbul. I lived in Istanbul for six months and it was a tradition to go to Istiklal and walk. And just watch people. People from everywhere around the world where meeting each other here at this central point. Different kind of people. With different views and religions. But nothing mattered. Because back in 2009, everyone was welcome on Istiklal. I had the best time of my life in Istanbul and I know that this city stole the heart of many.
