Scott Shellstrom's work has hung in the top Galleries and Museums in the country. He was a VP Creative in advertising on Madison ave. Always creating visually striking work. You can now buy the originals or prints of his work for the first time. He graduated with a BFA in Visual Communications from Northern Illinois Uni., Specializing in the fields of art history, photography, drawing, design and painting. After graduating, he was hired as an Art Director for a major Chicago advertising agency. Four years later, he moved to NYC to serve as a Creative Director with a number of advertising's top agencies. Shellstrom painted while maintaining his full-time position. His first NYC exhibition was in 1990 at Soho's UOLO. In 1991 his work appeared at one of NYC's most prestigious galleries of realistic works, Gallery Henoch. Soon he was commissioned to paint for various Hollywood notables, including Burt Reynolds and John Larroquette. In 1996, Shellstrom moved to Venice, California. He was selected to appear in Armand Hammer Museum's "Emerging Artists" show in 1997. In 1999 LA County Museum Art & Sales Gallery selected Scott's "Trash" series to hang on it's fabled walls. Next he painted "Venice. Where the city meets the sea" paintings that reveal the dichotomy of the beach's beauty and the grit of urban life. He now lives in Encinitas, CA painting beach themed paintings and commissions. Scott has never put his collections on sale until now, so many of his pieces are available in the original form and all of his work is available in print and printed canvas.
