Photography: Photo, Dye Transfer, Metal on Aluminium.
The photos of this series were all taken through the car glass, while running up and down the highways of the West.
The results are printed on aluminium and have a white rounded frame to reproduce the shape and the metallic feel of the car body and the light reflections of the car glass, as I experienced them at the time of the shot.
They look great by themselves but really great if hung side by side with other pictures of the same series.
All pictures are weather- and water- resistant, making them suited (if you wish so) for outdoor display. The photo is first printed on transfer paper and then, using heat and pressure, is vaporised into a special coating on the aluminium. This method is called thermal sublimation and is extremely robust. The 1 mm-thick aluminium has a special transparent coating on the front and a silvery look from the back. The corners are slightly rounded.
All pictures are signed on verso and come with an aluminium rail rectangle on the back that makes hanging the pictures easy and safe.
