Open Edtion Print of Melton Boatyard Study series. From the artist's local town, his studies of local boatyards are a recurring subject. Steeped in history, these small harbours form an intrical connection with nature for the local communities. Subject to the continued movement of the tides and shifting sediments, their small boats lie beached on the glistening tones of the mudflats, they have become a constant source of inspiration for Jonny. This work forms part of Jonny's experimentation with in camera movement and multiple exposure images. Captured in-situ the subject is deconstructed and reformed in camera through multiple exposures and blurred movement, this image is e result of many visits to the same location and incorporates over 30 exposures to interpret and express the location's spaces, forms, shapes, and sense of time.
