Flor Da Valle is a multidisciplinary artist and professional photographer from Buenos Aires with more than 15 years of experience. She holds a Master’s degree in Contemporary Art Curating and a BA Degree in Fashion Design. She is based in Buenos Aires. Flor Da Valle’s work emerges at the intersection of photography, contemporary curating, and design. She understands her photographic practice as a curatorial-artistic action: a process of selecting fragments from the real world—or from the art world—and transforming them into images and, eventually, into artworks that inhabit installations. Moving between direct photography and post-photography, her work explores ideas of transformation, spirituality, heterotopia and the magical. The mirror appears frequently in her projects as a symbol of ambiguity, duality, and creation. Many of her series take shape as site-specific or conceptual installations that invite the viewer to actively participate, shifting from passive observation to experiential engagement. Da Valle approaches contemporary art as a space of openness, connection, and inquiry—one that expands beyond institutional boundaries and invites new ways of seeing. In 2021 she won the "Usina del Arte" photography Award and “Vivamos Cultura” from the Ministry of Culture of Buenos Aires and in 2018 she won the open call to create a sculpture for Art Basel Cities BA. She also received artistic grants from the Ministry of Culture of Buenos Aires in 2020 and 2021.
