About The Artwork

Medium -- Limited Edition 1 of 15 While waiting for my wife to survey the goods in an upscale California department store, I was struck by the design and illumination of the escalators in the store. Printed with fine art papers of superior quality (acid-free, pH neutral, pure cellulose) on a smooth, matte surface using archival pigment inks that provide both brilliant colors and substantial longevity to help maintain your print’s beauty and value for generations. Certificate of Authenticity signed and dated by the Artist is provided with each of the Limited Edition prints. Signature on front and/or back of print if requested.

Freelance photographer and Artist currently living in Northern California. Besides creating the artwork in my collection here at Saatchi Art, I am a Contributing Photographer with Getty Images. Through Getty, my stock photos in my portfolio with them have been used by National Geographic, TIME, NBC News, Microsoft, etc. As some might have noticed, there is a distinct difference in style in several of my images. When viewing one of my photos or images prior to digitally manipulating it, I will first evaluate it as to what style I might employ when working with it. As for having one particular 'style' of my own, I like to tell people: "My style is no style at all." This is probably viewed as a negative in the art world, but I view it as a challenge and as a way to broaden my techniques and creativity. I like producing photos and images that contain some form or beauty as what gives me great satisfaction is being able to seek out, record, capture, and sometimes produce beauty in my current profession. How many people can say that about their jobs? As far as any detailed and in-depth descriptions of my images, I like what Renoir had to say about that: "Art is about emotion; if art needs to be explained it is no longer art." -- Pierre-Auguste Renoir
