ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I was in Santiago, Chile, when I saw a modern building, which had the façade covered by a wooden panel, probably to protect it from the sun. Soon I was motivated to photograph, because I imagined that this panel could result in an abstract photograph, based on diagonal lines, with an interesting play of light and shadow. Lo and behold, the result is what I present to you.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
