Asks a a babalawo (the most important figure in this religion) if women were to start to lead the ceremonies instead of attending men. And this is what they are doing. Argentina
Natalia Favre (b. 1987) is an Argentine documentary photographer and filmmaker based between Cuba and Argentina and working in Latin America. Her work focuses on social issues through an intimate perspective at the intersection between community and identity. She holds a Bachelor in Design and a Diploma in Documentary Photography both from the University of Buenos Aires. For several years, she has worked in the cinema industry from pre-production through the distribution of the storytelling process. Her background in film production added to the skills she applies today in her daily documentary photographic practice. Her work appeared internationally in media such as Washington Post, National Geographic, Bloomberg, Reuters, The Telegraph Magazine, THN, among others, and her films were shown in several international festivals in Cuba, Argentina, Brazil, Spain and the US. She is part of the National Registry of the Audiovisual and Cinematographic Creator (Cuba), a full member of Diversify Photo and Women Photograph and an XXXV Eddie Adams alumni. She is the recipient of the 2022 Will Riera Inspiration Award.
