Winter Sunset on El Capitan - Limited Edition of 100 Photograph

This is one of the most photographed views of Yosemite Valley.El Capitan is the famous cliff on the left side. Bridal Veil Falls is on the right side along with Cathedral Rocks, Sentinel Rock, and the top of Half Dome. See my other photos of this same view point in the fall and spring. There are times when it is soo crowded here that one cannot find a place to set up a tripod. I have been to this spot many hundreds of times, always waiting for the perfect shot. Well, this is it for me. As sunset approaches, many times we photographers are patiently waiting here for the magic and occasionally it happens with just the right amount of clouds for this beautiful glow on El Cap. Sometimes patience pays. I submitted this photo to the National Wildlife Federation Photo Contest and they selected this as one of their Christmas Cards. This print will be on archival paper, unless you contact me to arrange for a metal print - which is really stunning.
