When there is not enough of energy outside because of winter coldness a human becomes the heat source. This photograph is a part of the «Light 'n' night» series. Shot on the 12th of November 2019 at 6:30 a.m. in my homecity of Kherson (southern Ukraine). «Light 'n' night» series of photographs • Light in the darkness is about hope. No matter how dark and frightening the night is, one spark is enough to dissipate it. One burning person is enough to inspire the one who looks at him, and the light coming from him would show the other the way. I wish we were already on fire. The beauty of light calls for the movement in spite and regardless of fear. But I am the only one who decides who to choose as my guide. Go on an unknown journey to your star, or become unhappy by refusing. Light guides me home. «Light 'n' night» series are the part of ongoing big project «Year as a day» (working title) in which I'm going to represent the circle of the year as a circle of the day. Shooting every time of the year at it's relevant times of a day guided by the following principle: winter as a night of the year (this particular series), spring as a morning, summer as a noon and autumn as an evening. Concentrating on the Light, it's beauty and its specificity. Using the landscape and cityscape genre. Taking pictures of my home city and region.
