ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is a digital manipulation of a photograph, printed on rug cotton paper. Printing material is an essential part of the process as lights come a little subdued and colors acquire a pastel rendering, similar to paintings. My aim is to obtain a sensual image represented as a fleeting sight, a kind of memory, that transmits mood through an accurate selection of colors while maintaining a certain elegance. I get my inspiration from three artists: Thomas Ruff, Gerhard Richter and Sarah Moon.
