I was born in Barakaldo, Bizkaia, (Spain) in 1964, and from an early age I showed qualities for drawing and painting. When I was about 17 years old I acquired my first reflex camera and exchanged drawing and colored pencils for the magic of photography. In a self-taught way I nourished myself with literature and practice. Eventually I discovered my interest in abstract photography which I developed more fully with the advent of digital. The digital camera allowed me to experiment with a freedom unthinkable years ago. Although I received influences from social networks, I had a clear path to follow: to seek my limits, not those of others. When I acquired my first digital camera, it didn't take me long to push it to its limits and that's how my curiosity led me to start a journey of exploration towards experimental photography in which I discovered a fascination for the effects of light on moving water. In addition, social networks opened up other paths that I am still exploring. I look for an approach-fusion of photography towards abstract painting, and I propose a visual game where the viewer is an accomplice in that game. The photographic creative process is an adventure, an escape from routine reality, a search for unsuspected limits, a drug, a sense of freedom. In my case it begins with the search for the right conditions for the shot and ends with the development of the image, most of the time without retouching or adding or removing elements from the original image. You could say that I photograph another reality, independent of the one it comes from, where my imagination and that of the viewer is released.
