About The Artwork

This picture is inspired by social networks and the need of the me. The work reminds that all is an ephemera and the apparent phenomenon to question. The person in the picture is already out of focus, regarding to the personal future. The picture is taken in a mirror, to show that it is just a reflection. The writing just a momentary thought, photographed to keep it for a little longer. The picture is in black and white to be more essential. Please read this note before you buy my piece of art. As a follower of Arthur Schopenhauer and the philosophical Buddha I like the unspecified, the vague, the non-concrete in all kinds of art and that is predetermined. Giving space to the ingredient of the viewer's imagination is what I want. +++ My parents had many, many art books, Hieronymus Bosch was my favorite. I was 5 years old and fascinated that there were pictures that were so much better than ours in kindergarten. +++ When I was in high school, art class was not worth the years of anticipation, the teacher was the reincarnation of boredom, the charm of my classmates were more important to me than Max Ernst, I was the only boy in the class. +++ Across the street from my school is the State Gallery of Stuttgart and during the breaks I looked at the works of Anselm Kiefer, Joseph Beuys, Oskar Schlemmer, and all the others… +++ I know what I like and what I don't like and what I don't like, I leave out. +++ Reduction is the theme of my art and my life. +++ As a product of a culture and a recipient of an environment I reproduce in different media what I have experienced and processed. +++ But I can't always do the same thing, because there's so much to try out. +++ So there is no red thread, except: If art did not exist I would have already returned to the cycle of rebirth. +++ Create art by letting it happen - that is my credo. +++ Would Marcel Duchamp agree with me as the inventor of the readymades? +++ There is art to beautify our living rooms as well as our head rooms. +++ I'm a researcher, painter, philosopher, cameraman in transition. +++ "I also like expressive brushstrokes" is my reaction, when I see the energetic works of a Jean-Michel Basquiat. +++ "I also like the unexpected" is my reaction when I see the energetic works of an Anselm Kiefer. +++ "I also like strange worlds", is my reaction when I see the strange works of a Daniel or Gerhard Richter. +++ "I also like strong colors", is my reaction when I see the colorful works of a Jeff Koons. +++ "I also like kitsch", is my reaction when I see the peaceful works of a Bob Ross. +++ "I also like romantic", is my reaction when I see the dreamy works of a Caspar David Friedrich. +++ "I want that, too!" Great artists take me with them in fantastic, limitless worlds.
