About The Artwork

Im always inspired by the ocean, its unpredictability and its forever changing textures. Whether i shoot above or underwater i experience every wave's power inside me. There for its energy always makes me shoot more. This image was shot from the water in Fiji at the world famous wave Cloudbreak. Printed on Aluminium by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. It comes ready to hang, no need for framing. Available also printed on photographic metallic paper, face mounted on 1/4" non glare acrylic, and backed with aluminium diabond and is ready to hang. Nat Van Halle Inspired by theocean Nat Van Halle took to photography as a way of capturing the beauty of itand its surroundings. Born in Holland but grew up in the UK, Nat discovered her creative gypsy soul at age 19 fromtravelling around the world alone, she bought a camera, and started shooting. Nat started to work in the film and TV industry at age 22, but after a surf trip to Hawaii something changed, socaptivated by the power of the waves there, she decided to take focus on shooting photos in and under the water. The requirements and the challenges of shooting in the water added a whole new dimension to her photography. After this she went back to Hawaii, Australia, California, Canary Islands, Thailand, Sri Lankaand Tahiti, South Africa, through Central America and residing in Fiji, immersing herself In the surf and skate culture in the process. Nat now has made New Zealand her home and continues to work on films and shooting in and out of the water and where ever the next adventure takes her… Nat’s photography is printed on various mediums such as glass, acrylic, aluminium and photographic prints.
