About The Artwork
I took this photograph on my 29th birthday, eating my favorite pastry in my favorite city. It was early and I beat the crowds, especially since the morning was wet and an autumn chill had descended along with the fog. Raindrops intermittently fell on the brown waxed paper I held in my hands. As I looked out over the city I thought to myself - "Where else does one eat a chocolate croissant on the morning of your birthday?" This original photograph is an archival pigment print on premium matte Hahnemuehle paper, shown mounted on 4 ply acid free mat board, then framed in a custom handmade shadowbox ebony frame behind UV protection plexiglass. The frame is 1 inch deep and 3/8 inches wide on the face. The print is 5 inches x 4.5 inches, and the mat is 18 inches x 18 inches. Sold unframed. Edition of 10 only.
