one of my favorite photos i made this near the danube river in vienna, donauauen. austria is full of nature, so i love to use it as a photo location. in this photo i use the rope art shibari in japanese, “shibari” simply means “to tie” the contemporary meaning of shibari describes an ancient japanese artistic form of rope bondage in the late 1800′s and early 1900′s a new form of erotic hojo-justu evolved, called kinbaku, the art of erotic bondage. today, particularly in the west, the art of erotic bondage is typically called shibari, which is an art of erotic spirituality. shibari style rigging creates geometric patterns and shapes with rope that contrast beautifully with the human body’s natural curves. the ropes and their texture provide contrast to smooth skin and curves. in shibari, the model is the canvas, the rope is the paint and brush, and the rigger is the rope artist. the aesthetic arrangement of ropes and knots on the model’s body in shibari rigging emphasizes characteristics like sensuality, vulnerability, and also strength. i love to play with rope on women's bodies, it is a wonderful art to make the body look strong, but also fragile. like woman are, strong and delicate. alu-dibond fine art photo print limited edition with original signature

Austria
Giulietta delConte, born 1983, is an Austro-Italian photo artist, who now lives and works in Vienna. As a half-Italian, when she was still a child she was already interested in fashion and art. While still young, she visited the fashion school in Graz. Later she studied media design for a short time at the University of Art and Design in Linz. She also worked in fashion and began to be active as a nude and portrait model. This was a turning point in her life; she began to be more and more interested in photography. Then Giulietta felt to go behind the camera and implement her own ideas. The woman body is the central component—always embedded in lovingly selected environment. In the studio, it is too dull and uncomfortable—too constricted. She is always looking for new scenes, indoors or out; particularly morbid abandoned buildings are a major fascination for her. The women are usually set with bare skin in a sensitive erotic scene and play a major role in the implementation. She always follows her own image of beauty; with high heels, fashion accessories and other great attention to detail. Playing with the Fetish determines an important part in her artistic works; she prefers to use her own rope work to make aesthetic bondage-image. Even with fashion photography, she has experimented frequently, where she brings young designers on board in order to create sexy images beyond the mainstream. Her favorite subject is and remains to be the erotic woman in exciting venues. Giulietta delConte is married and has two children.
