“Strange, fancy, impulsive”- these baroque style adjectives are adequate for these works as well. Enlightenment age signs the crossroad, when a man started perceiving himself as self-dependent, free to choose. A man, who neglected transcendence – the being behind the boundaries of sensory reality; what is the visual expression of the environment he creates? These works can only be read as a visualization of a certain historical world view from time perspective, as an effort to give plastic form for intellectual constructions. The technical side of the pictures presented is in turn related to digital graphic, which allows free associations of original plastic quotes from different sources and application of algorithms from graphic programmes. This way of creative work could be compared to collage technique in visual arts or DJ composing method in music. The pictures were produced using sublimation print on artificial silk, only one unique copy each.

Born in Kaunas on 13 May 1955. EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 1983 graduated Vilnius Art Academy, interior architect speciality. From 1997 assist. of prof. at Vilnius Art Academy. Read lectures on computer graphics, visual arts and contexts. From 2008 head of trans-discipline Arts studies at Vilnius Art Academy, Kaunas Faculty. From 2013 proffesor Vilnius Art academy, Kaunas Art Faculty. The author lives and works in Vilnius, works in the field of digital art. The works use photography, drawings, digital graphic editors, digital printing. Organized more than ten personal exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad. Many works have been published in art publications and internet platforms.
