This is a giclée print of my original work. Limited edition of 10. Each print is signed and numbered on the front. - Printed on fine art paper - Size: 30 x 40 cm Maria's work resides in the dual realm between known and unknown, reality and paranoia, metaphor and possibility. In her theatrical sets, Maria explores the distance between meaning and interpretation and how this phenomena eliminates any definition. Maria investigates the ambiguity and unattainability of the narrative and a character through an intuitive image making. She works with found and vintage images and her techniques involve various image manipulations like painting, collage, or digital.

I am intrigued as an artist by forwarding my ideas and thoughts with their initial content and meaning. How to relate to an object the way the viewer would perceive it as an abstract form, irrespective of his or her personal associations and not giving it either positive or negative evaluation? In my paintings I depict various objects and images as part a composition the way they also express in real life, serving as small parts of a big system. There are no such concepts as „good“ or „bad“ for the universe – every phenomenon of life is just a part of it. Maria Sidljarevitš received her master’s degree in painting from the Estonian Academy of Arts in 2014. Maria Sidljarevitš has participated in exhibitions since 2008, she is a member of the Estonian Artists Association and was the chairman of the board of the Estonian Painters Association from 2015-2017.
