I'm obsessed with all different kinds of ephemera, travel tickets, invoices, old bits of paper, softness and textures of paper, folded, cut, scrunched and perforated papers. I'm a low tech and spontaneous kind of artist, scissors, scalpel, tapes, cutting mat rulers and pens. biros and pencils are ready to hand. I adore colour and working immediately with mark making I want to see results of making various medium of mark. I enjoy working with a 3D element to my collages adding height to different parts of the collage or pleating certain parts. I often use a thread and needle to combine parts of the collage, I don’t do neat and precise I enjoy being a bit messy and not perfect, I think its much more energised and beautiful to view My inspiration stems working and living in india for 12 years from living in a city like London I love to walk and see things, streets and parks and people and smells, different food places, ethnicities, peoples expressions and character somehow make their way to my Fibre collages, I like to challenge the marker the pen and paper and keep revisiting common techniques and adjusting them I’m inspired by so much I have much more to investigate on how my Art will further reveal itself. I see the viewer as part of the art whilst they look at the art, I feel my Artwork s now complete, a conclusion an ending of a play or film, please sit or stand and stare and contemplate, take your time. don't rush
