Over the winter I took some walks with my sketchbook and these lino prints developed from them. Seeing the energy of the sea from the cliff, the power of the wind, and wave, set against the calm green grass was a natural contradiction that I wanted to convey.

Jill Hudson BA (HONS) Fine Art A graduate of Falmouth College of Arts, I live and work in Cornwall. As an artist I am interested in depicting the beauty of the inconsequential moment - A shaft of light across the floor, a shadow through the trees in the evening. I want to capture the essence of an image which otherwise might be overlooked. My art is about the landscape of life in all its forms - its fleetingness, its poetry, its loneliness, and its reality. I have traveled in Africa and South America and gain great inspiration from exploring - I paint wherever I go. In 2005 I spent time working with Raleigh International as their Expedition Artist in Chile. On leaving the project I trekked to glaciers in southern Chile, and also spent time on Easter Island.
