ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is part of a series of still life works which are inspired by other artist's works which incorporate objects. Inspired by Andy Warhol's Campbells Soup Can series. I started by adhering pattern dress making paper and a dyed American flag onto canvas. The still life is of daffodils in a soup can, which are exuberant joyful and the flowers look like trumpets. The original drawing is made with graphite, with acrylic and gesso. This is a limited edition giclee print, Paper size 60x60cm Signed and numbered edition of 20 Minuet Printmaking 310 gsm paper (100% cotton rag by one of Europe's top paper mills. It has a smoother surface. The surface coating on this paper makes the colours vibrant and punchy and the silky texture allows for fine details to be clear and vivid).
