This is a Limited Edition Fine Art Print which is signed and numbered by the Artist. The Print comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The original artwork was created in response to the worldwide Covid 19 Pandemic, and the strange world that we found ourselves in. It was exhibited successfully in Manchester, England and sold to a Private Collector. The artwork has a melancholy, wistful quality about it, reflecting how I was feeling at the time - anxious and dreaming about what the future held. Horses have always been a great love of mine, and still are. The horse in the artwork is our own rescued racehorse, Lady Lion. The artwork was created by integrating imagery of an original landscape oil painting with our beautiful Lady. The landscape reminded me of my home in Britain, which I would not be seeing for some time. The original piece was printed using the historic Platinotype process, drawing heavily from romanticism with a beautiful, ethereal and painterly quality. The Platinotype process uses ferric oxalate in combination with the metal salts of platinum and palladium to create the image which lie on the paper surface. The original artwork has now been made available as a Limited Edition Giclee Fine Art Print on 310g Hahnemühle William Turner Rag Paper, a 310g natural white mould made natural line paper with 100% rag content making it highly archival. It has a slight coarse texture which gives photos and artwork an elegant look. The final image is a thing of great beauty. The original collector was enthralled by the magical and ethereal qualities which are immediately apparent upon viewing the piece. This artwork remains perhaps my favourite self created Artwork of my entire career.

British Atelier trained ‘NOA’ Artist Alyson is currently represented by Saul Hay Gallery in Manchester, England, and Artifact Gallery, New York, USA. Alyson studied Fine Art in Manchester, England, graduating with a First-Class Degree in Fine Art and a Master of Arts. Subsequently, Alyson went on to study at the ARC Atelier of Fine Art in Edinburgh Scotland, where she learned the time-honoured drawing and painting methods of the Masters. Alyson's creative practice fuses both art historical and contemporary art theory. Her passion for relearning techniques almost lost in time led to her involvement with historic handmade chemical photographic techniques, including the Platinum, Wet Plate Collodion and Daguerreotype processes – subsequently incorporating these antiquated processes into her creative vision to create atmospheric, contemporary artworks.
