#Dynasty invokes both conspiracy theory and the tension that lies just below the surface of class distinction. Displayed in the specific order and manner as shown, the work consists of three screenprints on Savoy 320gsm cotton under conservation glass in ornate frames. Inspired by celebrity claims of membership in secret societies, the text forces the viewer to consider the very premise of an often disregarded conspiracy theory. In doing so, perceptions of status, celebrity, and the plight of the ordinary individual are placed front and center in the viewer's mind. Is what is being referenced really such a wild claim? And if so, why must this unseen individual protest?
