You can't blame the youth You can't fool the youth You're teaching youths to learn in school That cow jump over moon You teaching youths to learn in school That the dish run away with spoon So, you can't blame the youth when they don't learn the reality You teach the youth about Christopher Colombus You teach the youth about Marco Polo You teach the youth about the Pirate Hawkins You teach the youth about the Pirate Morgan And you said they were very great man All these great men were doing Robbing, raping, kidnapping and killing So called great men were doing dirty things So, you can't blame the youth, not at all nor fool them When every Christmas come You buy the youth fancy and pretty toy gun Now what was hidden from the wise and the prudent Is now revealed to the babes and the sucklings Even the Lord, call upon the youth For he know the youth is strong Teach and treat them right, so you have a future through your heirs Don't blame them Not their fault

My biological name is Tosin Oyeniyi and I’m an ambidextrous Artist, Art enthusiast, archivist, antiquarian and a seasoned Art educator cum trainer who hails from Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria where I spent my early-childhood and teenage years before migrating to other parts of the most populous west African country. Speaking in generic terms and by training, I’m a graphic Artist but if I’m asked to speak in specific terms, I’d say I’m a Print-maker with special interest in LINOCUT. As a solo art entrepreneur, my silky, multidimensional and unorthodox engraved prints can be described as an even blend of naturalism and post-expressionism as I colorfully, yet indigenously share the rich and vast African beauty, stories, sceneries and culture with the rest of the world. Notably, my craft did not explode after bagging my 1st Degree from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University where I studied Fine and Applied Arts and graduated as a Graphic specialist. As good and profitable as that experience was, my Art essentially began to find expression after a period of silent dogged and unflinching efforts at my studio and much of the charming works you see today are actually products of self-education. Coupling modern education with being an intrinsic Artist from a modest background makes my ethos relatable, in that it exhibits real life situations of real Black people Professionally, I have been practicing my art since 2015 and currently resides in Ibadan where I produce irresistible prints that are in circulation all over the world through local and international Art collectors. Artist’s statement Through Art, I specifically seek to exhibit, project and export the rich, enormous and vastly undermined African culture and her custom to the rest of the world. While unravelling the blacks under- appreciated pasts, I also narrate her unscripted socio-economic stages of developments unapologetically.
