Emergent Face Print - Limited Edition of 1

A drypoint (intaglio) and monoprint hand pulled (original, not digitally produced) print and hand tinted with tea, number one in an edition of five, on white Stonehenge paper. Print size is 9"x12" and the paper size is 12"x15". These prints are produced by drawing on plexiglass plate which creates both an incision and a burr on the surface of the plate. Ink is applied to the plate and then removed but the incision and burr both hold residual ink. I also apply ink to the plate with a brush. Damp paper is laid on plate, it is run through the press, and then the paper is 'stretched' to dry on a board. It is then cut off and trimmed.
