About The Artwork

Kristjana was introduced to cartography in geography class when she was growing up in Iceland. The maps she saw showed these colourful places full of exotic flora and fauna that she couldn’t experience at home. Kristjana used to draw these maps and fill them in, giving her a sense of wonder. She hopes that the viewer will be filled with the same sense of wonder and excitement when looking at this piece. Printed in the artist's studio in London, using the highest quality archival paper (Matt Smooth Fine Art Cotton 300gsm) and highest quality inks (giclée) - printing method ensuring depth and vibrancy of a velvet-like finish and to ensure you are able to enjoy your print for years to come. This print is also available in a smaller size, A2. Edition of 145, signed and numbered by the artist. In February 2018, this print was on edition 130/145 across the 2 sizes. Kristjana’s prints are sold through many sales channels and some of them sell fast. Therefore we can not guarantee that the next edition is the one you will receive if you buy this print. If you would like to know what the next available edition number is, please contact Saatchi Art customer service before placing your order. Your artwork will be printed and shipped within 3-5 working days. Your artwork will arrive safely in a cardboard tube.
