Printmaking, Etching on Paper
Size: 11.8 W x 11.4 H x 0.1 D in
Ships in a Tube
The artwork is made by scanning illustrations and engravings from old books of medicine, inventions and natural science that are in the public domain. These illustrations are combined and composed in Photoshop giving the original pictures a completely new meaning. The motive is transferred to a Solar Plate, also known as a Photopolymer plate, and printed on a traditional etching press. The result is an absurd and surreal situation with a touch of humor, with the appearance of an old print. Handpulled limited edition of 20 copies.
